Old business:

  • What is our message? Are we promoting at meetings? On site? NEW SEPT FLYER THOUGHTS AND FEEDBACK about if we are now communicating groups/purpose/funds/volunteer needs.
    • FEEDBACK- HIGH BALANCE STILL CONCERN- IF MONEY STOPS, THERE WILL BE NO MONEY DOWN WAY. QUESTION- WHAT IS THE RESERVE TVAA FEELS COMFORTABLE WITH AT GROUP LEVEL? MUCH DISCUSSION- MAYBE ADD LINE ABOUT FLUCTUATES ON FLYER- MAYBE LINE ABOUT NEEDING MONEY FOR EXPANDING INTO NEW FACILITIES.

SUBCOMMITTEE IDEAS:

  • HOW DO WE LET GROUPS KNOW HOW AND WHERE FUNDS ARE USED?
  • Marketing TAC- HOW DO WE GET WORD OUT ABOUT TAC?
  • Passing funds to other committee/TVICO, Baccypa etc after the order and new treasurer report- do we want to do this? MOTION: JARED MAKES MOTION TO NOT PASS FUNDS TO OTHER COMMITTEES BECAUSE DONATIONS ARE FOR TAC BY GROUPS AND NEEDS TO STAY WITHIN TAC- KATHY 2ND ALL SAY YES- FUNDS STAY IN TAC.
  • Accessibilities- Jared and Jennifer will get together to discuss further. There is a survey for some of these things. Do We have an Update? NO ACTION YET-SICK
  • Liability Insurance update from Sub Committee- tabled until October-update VIVIAN- RESEARCH DONE- PRUDENT MOVE TO HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE ESPECIALLY W/EVENT. STORAGE- NO FORMAL SUBLEASE SO COVERED UNDER TVICO. COVER D&O? NOT NEEDED BUT NEED TRAVIS AND CARISSA FEEDBACK. LIABILITY OF VOLUNTEERS WHO MISTEP? COVERED BY PREA TRAINING AND SIGNING GUIDELINES. TAC DOES’T NEED TO PAY TO COVER. GSO TAC COMMITTEE GUIDELINES: DO WE HAVE CONTRACTS W/Treat/Corr- no- workbooks cover “cooperations not contracts”. P 31-32. Next step- move forward w/quotes for liability only. $250 annually. Lori: does liability policy cover individuals at facility- no- facility covers. No quote for D&O- can get if needed but not really traveling on official TAC business.
  • Guideline amendment: needs to still be consolidated with a consolidated amendment summary. Was supposed to be done for October but delayed until Nov. Everyone will then review. Make sure the below are also included:
    • web servant as elected position
    • Add Treatment Coordinator co-chair. What are the sobriety requirements. Expand facility specific coordinators in verbage.
    • Book order- all set with stamps and inventory? 1 BOX SHORT FROM MARTY NUMBERS- AND THEN SHORT FROM CLOSET TRANSFER: LIVING SOBERS 30, 40 IN PRISONS. WEAK LINK- RECORDING REMOVAL. LORI LOOKING FOR ASSISTANT FOR TIMELY RECORDING. SONNY TOOK BOOKS VIA ROBERT.
    • GIVE CENTRAL OFFICE A LIST OF NAMES: MICHELLE ROBERT HANNAH TRAVIS
    • SONNY- 20BB, 20DR, 20 12/12, 30 GV, 20 ABSI- MICHELLE TO REACH OUT TO SONNY- ROBERT WAS THERE- double check with robert
    • SMALLER STAMP IS ON ORDER,- CURRENT IS TOO BIG AND BLURRY. IF NEW ISN’T GOOD- GO BACK TO ORIGINAL OR ORDER ROLLS OF STICKER
    • GET RID OF BIG ROUND TABLE? MAYBE
    • Plain Language Big Book- table discussion until it is available.
  • TAC table at Fall assembly- how did it go? PRETTY WELL SO WE HEAR
  • Reach out to district reps/ DCMs to attend the TAC business meeting. TRAVIS WAS REACHING OUT- STATUS
  • BTG stickers- for-profit facilities. Will contact those facilities and see if they are ok with us bringing in stickers. What is status here? Any costing info? KATHY- NOT RETURNING FORMS SO WHY DO STICKERS? HANNAH- FOR TREATMENT- DO STICKER WITH PHONE AND EMAIL AND NO FORM? CORRECTIONS- STAY THE COURSE. KATHY DROPPED OFF SEVERAL HUNDRED TO INTERMOUNTAIN AND ALANBA. DO WE CONTINUE? IT IS ANNOUNCED IN FORMAT. ADD TVTAC.COM TO FORMATS.
  • Discussion about the TAC Picnic being free/ by donation next year. TABLE UNTIL DECEMBER/JAN AFTER LAST ORDER TO SEE WHAT FUNDS ARE LEFT.

New business:

REMOVE YELLOW AND BLUE TAC CARDS IF YOU SEE THEM- THROW AWAY- SEE NEW CARD. DAVID PULLED FROM TABLES.

  • Corrections- submitted NEW BUSINESS- LOOKING FOR MALE COCHAIR– MEN VOLUNTEERS ARE REALLY LOW- BE BETTER TO HAVE A MALE WITH MICHELLE. STRESSED ACJ MEN NEEDED PER RANDY.

  • Bridging the Gap- LOOKING FOR MALE COUNTERPART DISTRICT 4 TALKED ABOUT HOTLINE VOLUNTEERS- ASK IF ANYONE MIGHT WANT TO HELP. SPECIFICALLY- MANAGE THE MALE REQUESTS FACILITATE MALE COMMUNICATION- COORDINATE MALE SIDE.
